Dr. Forbes joined Giant Oak as a social scientist in 2015 and currently works on multiple research and development projects, including DARPA’s MEMEX and XDATA programs. Forbes’s expertise is in theoretical and (large-scale) computational macro and finance modelling; and she has also worked on several theoretical and experimental projects, including research on network formation that focuses on dark networks. She holds a PhD from the University of Virginia, an MA from the University of Chicago, an MPhil from the University of Oxford, and a BA from Sweet Briar College.
